Golden Dawn

Described rather acurately by Metal Archives as "Extreme Gothic Metal," Golden Dawn approaches Gothic Metal interestingly and originally with a slight touch of blackiness, as the band used to be a one man Black Metal project. The vocals range from clean male vocals that sound odd at first but ultimately fit wonderfully with the music, raspy BM growls, and beautiful female vocals. The music on each song is different and of itself with very interesting composition and an impressive use of keyboards to create all forms of sound, effect, and atmosphere. This can be seen particularly clearly on the two instrumentals in their album Masquerade. Certainly worth checking out for anyone into Gothic Metal or for anyone interested in something new.

Enjoy.
