Bulldozer

Bulldozer were an Italian Proto-Black Metal type Thrash/Speed Metal band, the kind of thing fans of Venom would dig. Requested upload by Painkiller.

Enjoy.

Draomere's Super Awesome Rare Shit

My bud Draomere gave me permission to host his links here, the following descriptions and uploads are all his work:

"Pagan Forest
Interesting Pagan Black Metal with an almost carnivalistic nature.

Guapo
Progressive Rock/Metal with a neat dark tone and loads of Post-Rock influence. Great if you're a fan of Russian Circles or Priam.

The Helheim Society
Extremely rare, but extremely awesome Industrial Black Metal demo. The band has now disbanded and this is the last demo that they released and it is FANTASTIC.

Bog Morok
Pretty hard to describe band imo. M-A calls them Death/Doom which is definitely wrong as there is nothing doomy about this release. I'm thinking it's some form of Progressive Death Metal. Either way, definitely worth a listen.

Makrothumia
If you are a fan of Negura Bunget, this is a neat collectable. Progressive Death/Doomish Metal with some rather interesting music; however, the quality of the release tends to take away from the greatness it could have.

Rodovest
Temnojar member's Black/Folk Metal project. Very interesting stuff.

Strid
The last release from this band in 1995. This is some quality Black Metal, and it predates the Suicidal Black Metal movement. A nice collectable and a great demo."

Enjoy!

Bornholm

Bornholm are a Pagan Viking/Black Metal band that play a style reminiscent of Bathory's Blood Fire Death album. All their songs are long but tastefully so, not wasting a second so that you get a prolonged, excellent, epic dose of Black Metal with a Viking flair.

Enjoy.

Borknagar - Quintessence

So I kinda screwed up my Borknagar post from back in October. Apparently my upload of Quintessence only had three of the tracks so I reuploaded it, and here you are. Sorry for any trouble guys. :<

Enjoy.

Quintessence (Borknagar; 2000)

Panzerchrist

Panzerchrist are a war obsessed slightly blackened Death Metal banned; they are like Bolt Thrower on crack. Outpost Fort Europa is more old school, with catchy riffs and the occassional piano piece on the background while still staying incredible. Their later material, like Room Service and Batallion Beasts, consists of the afformentioned riff o' mania. Wonderful stuff, highly suggested to any self-respecting Death Metal fan.

Enjoy.

Phazm

French band Phazm play a dirty and gritty kinda of Blackened Death 'n Roll, or just Death 'n Roll as they call it. Think Bluesy Rock + Death Metal + lots of Black Metal overtones.
Hate at First Seed has lyrical themes about nature rebeling against man while Antebellum Death 'n Roll is chock full of fun and incredibly morbid words about everything from necrophillia to reverse necrophillia, as I call it (zombies raping people). Wonderful stuff and can be pretty heavy at times too.

Enjoy.

Hate at First Seed (2004)
Antebellum Death 'n Roll (2006)

Antebellum Death 'n Roll has a badass cover too:

Khlyst

Khlyst's music isn't about enjoyment or entertainment. Khlyst is a painful trip through the darkest, most macabre places of the human mind and human condition through morbid, dark, atmospheric, gut-wrenching Drone Doom. Between the eerie and harsh compositions of James Plotkin (former Khanate) and the hideous growls of Runhild Gammelsaeter (former Thorr's Hammer) Chaos is my Name is quite the trip.

A Notification

I just did some blog maintenance and hope to make it a habit. I got rid of dead posts and links. Most of the links as far back as October are still working so you can grab stuff from there.

I hope the blog has been of use to you. Peace.

Horna

Honestly, I have yet to listen to this band. I have some of their stuff on my computer and some friends wanted some so I uploaded it and figured I might as well plop it here too. All I can tell you is that they're Black Metal. If you like BM downloading some stuff then I guess. Hiidentorni - Perimä Vihassa Ja Verikostossa is kinda huge (two discs) so start with the split or EP.

Enjoy?

Divinity Destroyed

Divinity Destroyed are a somewhat eccentric Progressive Metal band. Absolutely unique with flavorful music and a mix between clean vocals and interesting death growls. At first listen they can seem a bit weird but any Prog fan needs to give this band a try.

Enjoy.

Eden in Ashes (2003)

Isis

Isis are one of the premier Sludge Doom Metal/Post-Rock bands along the lines of Pelican (both bands have members that were once in Windmills by the Ocean). Their latest, In the Absence of Truth, is their Post-Rockiest, with soothing clean singing and mellow, beautiful guitar work. Suggested for fans of Pelican, Windmills by the Ocean and Post-Rock.

Enjoy.

Raintime

Raintime are another one of those Power Metal with harsh vocals bands so I'm not sure what to say about them, other than they take the genre and make it refreshing and interesting, putting in keyboards without having them overpower the actually interesting riffs. They're like that crisp scent in the air after a spring rain... only in Power Metal form.

Enjoy.

Tales From Sadness (2005)

Skyclad

The English Folk/Thrash band Skyclad are considered the founders of Folk Metal. They play an energetic Thrash/Folk hybrid complete with a violin; there are also more soothing songs on many of their albums were the Thrashy vocals are replaced by a softer singing. Their lyrics consist mainly of political, ethical and social commentary or messages and their album titles, lyrics and song names often contain puns or word play, ex: songs like "Kiss My Brass" and "Bombjour!" Skyclad are band that can be appreciated by any fan of Thrash or Folk and probably by most of the Metal community itself. Note: The No Daylights Nor Heeltaps is a best-of compilation where they redid old songs with their new singer who joined after their old singer left after in 2001 (he last appeared on Folkemon).
